Shipping Conditions
Cold-Chain Logistics
Lyophilized products ship on dry ice or gel packs depending on stability profiles. Temperature indicators verify transit conditions. Upon arrival, transfer vials promptly to specified storage (−20 °C or −80 °C).
Packaging
Products are packed in tamper-evident containers with secondary insulation. Outer cartons display UN3373 biological substance labeling where required.
Lead Times
Made-to-stock items typically ship within 3–5 business days. Made-to-order products may require 2–4 weeks depending on complexity. Expedited processing is available for urgent needs.
Regulatory & Export Considerations
Certain venoms and toxins are subject to CITES regulations or national import restrictions. Venom Supplies prepares export documentation, including:
- CITES permits for Appendix II species
- Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes
- Commercial invoices and packing lists
- Safety Data Sheets in destination-language formats (upon request)
Customers are responsible for obtaining import permits required by their national authorities. Our logistics team can advise on typical documentation needs for common destinations.
For controlled substances (e.g., saxitoxin standards), additional permits may be required. Allow extra lead time for regulatory clearances.
Returns & Quality Issues
If a product arrives damaged or fails to meet specifications, contact our support team within 14 days of receipt. Provide lot numbers and a description of the issue.
We will coordinate replacement or credit after reviewing the claim. Do not dispose of product before receiving instructions.
