Frequently Asked Questions

How do I reconstitute lyophilized toxins?

Each product page and COA specifies recommended reconstitution buffers. Typical options include sterile PBS, HEPES-buffered saline, or dilute acetic acid. Use low-binding tubes and include carrier proteins (BSA) if adsorption is a concern.

What storage conditions should I use?

Most lyophilized toxins remain stable at −20 °C. Reconstituted aliquots should be stored at −80 °C and used within the timeframe noted on the COA. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.

How do I know which toxin is right for my target?

Visit the Toxins by Target catalog or consult our Application pages. Our scientific support team can also recommend products based on your experimental design.

Can I request custom toxin modifications?

Yes. We offer isotopic labeling, fluorescent conjugation, and sequence modifications. Contact us with your requirements and we will provide a feasibility assessment and quote.

Do you provide Certificates of Analysis?

Every shipment includes a COA summarizing purity, identity, potency, and endotoxin data. Additional batch records are available upon request.

What is included in the Safety Data Sheet?

SDS documents follow GHS formatting and cover hazard classification, PPE recommendations, first aid, spill response, storage, and disposal guidance.

How should I handle neurotoxins safely?

Work within a certified biosafety cabinet, wear double gloves and eye protection, and follow institutional BSL-2 guidelines. Refer to our blog article on best practices for handling neurotoxins.

What is your shipping policy for international orders?

We ship worldwide using cold-chain logistics. CITES and export documentation are prepared by our team. Customers must obtain any required import permits.

How long does shipping take?

Made-to-stock items typically ship within 3–5 business days. Made-to-order products may require 2–4 weeks. Expedited processing is available for urgent needs.

What if my product arrives damaged?

Contact support within 14 days of receipt. Provide lot numbers and a description of the issue. Do not dispose of product before receiving instructions.

Can I get batch-specific electrophysiology data?

Yes. For validated products, we can supply patch-clamp traces and concentration–response curves. Request these at the time of order or through our support portal.

Do you offer volume discounts?

Volume pricing is available for recurring orders or large projects. Contact our sales team for a tailored quote.
